Check your ClearScore report regularly for anything unusual or suspicious.
If you find any incorrect information on your credit report, you'll need to raise this as a dispute with Experian so that they can look into your case.
You can contact Experian directly on 0117993403, or raise a dispute via our contact form.
When raising a dispute with Experian, please make sure that you:
- Raise the dispute with the email registered to your ClearScore account.
- Outline the full details of your query.
- Provide your ID number.
- Attach any supporting documents.
Please be aware that Experian can take up to 20 business days to come to a resolution, though the process is usually much faster than that.
You can also ask the South African Fraud Prevention Services (www.safps.org.za) to place a Protective Registration on your report. This service alerts most lenders to the fraud, so they’ll take extra care when dealing with credit applications in your name
