How does Funeral Insurance work?

Funeral insurance provides your family with financial support to pay for costs associated with your funeral, in the event of your death.
We’ll show you personalised funeral insurance offers based on the details you shared with us before applying, which include: required cover, age, marital status and gender.
What happens when you 'Apply' ?
When you click on ‘Apply Now’ our insurance partner, Hippo will forward your application to your chosen service provider. Depending on the time/day of your application, they should contact you within 24 hours to process your application.
What to do if you haven’t heard back from the insurance provider
If you haven’t been contacted by the provider and it’s been more than 48 hours, log back into your ClearScore account and apply again.
Please note, your credit score isn’t considered as one of the eligibility criteria when you apply for funeral insurance. If your funeral insurance application is turned down, it won’t have an impact on your credit score.
