If you find incorrect information on your credit report, you can raise a dispute with Experian through our Chat located on the right-hand side of this page.
Before raising a dispute, we recommend contacting the bank, lender, or provider involved first, as they may be able to correct the information more quickly.
Please note that Experian cannot add missing information to your credit report. If information is missing, you’ll need to contact the lender directly and ask them to share the information with Experian.
Before you raise a dispute
To help Experian process your dispute successfully, make sure you:
- Use the same email address registered to your ClearScore account
- Provide your ID number
- Explain the issue in as much detail as possible
- Attach any supporting documents
What happens next?
After your dispute has been submitted, Experian may contact you by email or telephone if they need more information. It can take up to 20 business days for Experian to investigate and resolve a dispute. During this time, your credit file will show a bureau dispute marker. This may affect your ability to be accepted for credit until the dispute is resolved.
