If your credit history is linked to your old passport/ID number, it’s a good idea to get your credit history linked to your more recent ID number.
To link the credit history to your new ID number, you’ll need to contact Experian (our data provider).

When raising a dispute with Experian via email, please make sure you:
- Raise the dispute with the email registered to your ClearScore account
- Outline the full details of your query
- Provide a copy of either:
- Your passport
- Your ID
- Your proof of residence or a verification document from the home affairs stating that you have been issued with a South African ID.
Please note that Experian can take up to 20 business days to come to a resolution, though the process is usually much faster than that.
